This reminds me of the last time I was at an airport. I was using the restroom - it was after a long flight, you know? - and this blind man replete with cane and dark glasses was having trouble washing his hands. It was one of those automated faucets, and it wasn't working for whatever reason.
But then some guy nearby helped him to the next faucet, which worked well enough, and even helped get soap onto his hands. I ended up handing him some paper towels when he'd finished. I even caught another person pointing him the way out (so to speak) when he'd started to head the wrong way.
It's amazing how we forget how dark the world is supposed to be when we see and take part in these acts of kindness, right when the people needing help need it the most. Even the simple things make the world a better place.
That's what I felt when I saw this picture. It's well-deserved of a DD. Good job, Petach.
